Opened in Sept 2021 the ‘Brufut ECD School’ comprises 5 classrooms, school office, playground and toilet block.

Capacity 175 pupils aged 3-7 with 6 teachers and a caretaker.

History
The classrooms, located within the Brufut State Primary School, had fallen into chronic disrepair.

GSS with its local partner entered into an agreement with MoBSE (Ministry of Basic & Secondary Education) in June 2021.

GSS paid £15,000 for constructing and equipping the school and our local partner oversaw the project and helped recruit the Head and 5 teachers.

175 pupils were enrolled within weeks of opening.

Today
The Brufut ECD is a thriving ‘Community School’ and one of the best in the country.

GSS is fostering a culture of continuous improvement and self reliance.

The annual cost of assisting the school is £6,500 (2023-24).
